Rules & Snippets
Score: 8/10The platform's connective tissue, even if Page Rules had better UX.

The modern suite of redirect, transform, configuration, and origin rules replaced Page Rules with something much more capable. Snippets adds small pieces of edge JavaScript. Everything uses the same wirefilter expression language as the WAF, so knowledge transfers across the dashboard.
Redirects and header rewrites that used to require a Worker are now declarative and free-tier-friendly, and Snippets covers the “this is three lines of logic, I don’t want a whole Worker deployment” niche beautifully.
Rules is technically superior and far more flexible, but Page Rules had better UX for everyday jobs: one page, one URL pattern, a few toggles, done. The replacement spreads that work across several rule types that you must understand before choosing one. It also loses points for the long migration, limits that force earlier plan upgrades, and ordering interactions that still take inside knowledge to debug.
