Score: 6/10

The transformations are great; the product around them is confusing.

Cloudflare Images combines two products: URL-based transformations for resizing, converting, and optimizing images, plus storage with named variants. The transformation side is excellent. It is flexible, fast, reasonably priced, and works with an origin or R2.

The storage half is where it gets frustrating. Named variants are rigid compared to arbitrary transforms, migration tooling is basic, and the pricing units (storage per 100k images, delivery per 100k) never quite map to how you think about an image library.

I would keep originals in R2, use transformations for delivery, and skip Images storage unless its signed-URL variant workflow fits exactly. The score covers both halves of the product.
